Visiting this website

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you open a page, the server records technical data in log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer and browser type. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); the logs are deleted after a short period. IONOS processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics. Fonts are served from this website itself; no request goes to Google or other font services. Your light/dark theme choice is stored only in your browser (localStorage). Audio files you load into the browser demos are decoded in your browser and never uploaded.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless tax or commercial law requires us to keep them.

Shop and payment: Lemon Squeezy

We sell our plugins through Lemon Squeezy, operated by Link, LLC (formerly Lemon Squeezy LLC), USA. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record: when you buy a plugin, or get THE STANK for €0, you buy it from Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy takes the payment, charges and pays the VAT, and emails you the receipt and the license key.

For this, Lemon Squeezy processes what you enter at checkout (name, email address, billing country and address, VAT ID if you give one), your payment details (through its payment providers; we never see them) and technical data such as your IP address, for fraud prevention and to determine the VAT. Lemon Squeezy is responsible for this processing itself, under its own privacy policy: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. According to that policy, data from the EEA is transferred to the USA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

From Lemon Squeezy we receive your name, email address and country, the order, your license key and its activations. We use them to deliver and support your purchase, to process refunds under our money-back guarantee and to check license keys (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and we keep order records as long as tax law requires (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Checkout on this website

The pages of this website do not contact Lemon Squeezy while you browse. Only when you click a Buy or Get button does your browser load the checkout script (lemon.js) from app.lemonsqueezy.com and open the Lemon Squeezy checkout. From then on Lemon Squeezy receives your IP address and browser data, because you asked to start a purchase (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

License activation in the plugins

When you enter your license key, the plugin sends the key and the name of your computer to the Lemon Squeezy License API (api.lemonsqueezy.com); your IP address is transmitted as part of the connection. Lemon Squeezy confirms the key, returns the name on your order (the plugin shows it as "Licensed to …") and records this computer as an activation. This is needed to check that the license is valid (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). After that the plugin does not contact Lemon Squeezy again; there are no background checks. When you deactivate the plugin on a computer, the plugin sends the key and the activation ID once more and the activation is removed.
